This fifth book in Glenn's series was a good read but I don't think good enough to convince me to buy the next one. Lots of action though if that's your thing. I've been looking for a map of the empire he writes about but can't find one anywhere on the internet - a shame, as it would make the reading more interesting.Product details

Hard to put down, I wanted more when I finished the book...
Never a dull moment in this series. Just finished book 5 and can't wait to start 6. Any epic fantasy fan will find these books well worth their time.
I read this one in two sittings, couldn't put it down, only the late hour and sleep intervened. Parts of the plot to me are metaphorical of today's world. Through all the books in this series is an interesting take on religion and politics. All written in a way where YOU decide who the good guys and bad guys are. I'm addicted to all the characters and some new ones were introduced in this one that I like already. Great plot, high adventure and fast moving. Come on, Elves, Wizards, Knights, Trolls, Dwarves, Zombies, Vampires, a misunderstood "Satan themed" warrior/character and like I said Viking Gods and Lovecraft Gods, what more could you ask for. A MUST READ SERIES FOR FANTASY FANS.
If you like this genre then you must read this series! I have read all 11 volumes and can't wait for the 12th.
I like the series but it is getting more and more confusing as the author is jumping around quite a bit.
In this book there are four different stories/plots, all inter-related going on. You almost need a score card to know who is who, the author does provide a glossary of people places and things.
I started off not sure about the whole series, but now find myself reading instead of doing other things. I’m am getting engrossed in the stories, and find myself angry and scared along with the characters
This is where I am in the Harbinger of Doom series books. Its the on the edge of your seat read. The books leave you in a rush for the next. I have become a fan of Glenn G Thaters work's. Keep em coming.
